ASAP was awarded ISO9001:2000 registration in
2003 by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance after holding the previous 9002 standard for three years.
This is a well regarded British Standards professional quality system which
demonstrates our commitment to quality and customer service.
Our registration covers all business
activities and functions, our repair services and computer building operations.
We are currently working towards adding our software development services to
this in 2007.
The "International Organisation for
Standardisation" - known as ISO - is the world's largest developer of
standards. ISO standards aim to make the development,
manufacturing and supply of products and services more efficient, safer and
cleaner for those involved - and most of them we take for granted.
ASAP has been fortunate enough to have
secured the services of a senior Quality representative in Mr Brian Benson who
has many years experience in the introduction and maintenance of quality
management systems from different back grounds including defence, the aerospace
industry, and most recently Mc Alpine Helicopters. Coming from such a back
ground his approach to quality is un-compromising and has ensured that we run a
"water tight" system.
The 9001:2000 quality standard
specifies requirements for a quality management system where an
organisation:
-
needs to demonstrate its ability to
consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable
regulatory requirements, and...
-
aims to enhance customer
satisfaction through the effective application of the system,
including processes for continual improvement of the system and the
assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
From the company perspective,
we ensure that we stick to our documented procedures, to track and
keep records of all work that we do, and to continually assess these procedures
in order to maintain and improve the quality of service that our
customers receive.
From the customers' perspective,
the standard provides peace of mind that your equipment will be dealt with in an
appropriate manor and you will receive a consistently high quality of service
throughout.
As part of our quality management system we
review our performance every month and the performance statistics we produce are
available on request. Each year we review our actual performance against
our performance targets and aim for a continual improvement each year.
This review is also an opportunity to address any problem areas identified.
