Data Preservation

Many of you may have experienced the situation where your branded PC has failed and you have had to send it back to the manufacturer for repair.

In general, most major manufacturers take between 2-3 weeks to return your hardware and this is rarely the end of the story. When you get it back, it may have different parts fitted, or it may be a different unit altogether.

Many of these repair centres state in their small print that your data is not covered in any way when you send it to them and that you are responsible for having a suitable backup to recover any data you may lose during the repair.

It is not uncommon for example for a branded laptop to be loaded with a fresh copy of Windows (losing all personal data) if a replacement mainboard has been fitted. The problem however is if your system has physically failed in this way, it is not always possible to back-up that vital information prior to sending it away!

At ASAP we put our customers data first. Our experienced engineers take every precaution available to them to ensure that all requested data remains intact and we return your system to you in normal working order, with your email and documents in their proper place - just as you would want.

If we find that data loss has occurred prior to sending it in (such as on a failing hard disk) we will inform you straight away so that further loss can be prevented. We can perform data recovery in most situations and rebuild a system from scratch if necessary maintaining as much of your data as we possibly can.

We understand that your PC is not just a piece of hardware, and replacing a failing unit doesn't mean you're instantly up and running again!

Whether it is a laptop, workstation or server we are on hand to ensure that you're back in business ASAP !
