Anti virus products

We use two different classes of Antivirus product;

Mc Afee antivirus integrated in to a SonicWall firewall box for an enforced client anti virus solution. This solution is ESET smart security products ideal for small to medium sized businesses and ensures everyone on your network has an up-to-date anti-virus solution installed.

We also deploy with great effect ESET Smart Security products which have won several awards in recent years. Our customers like the way ESET works and how it does not tend to slow your system down...unlike many other bloated antivirus software packages.

Firewalls

ASAP are a Sonicwall authorised reseller. SonicWall are one of the market leaders in security products, especially for small to medium sized businesses. One small piece of hardware gives you a firewall and uses McAfee antivirus and anti spyware protection, another big name company in the software security market.

This product allows automatic McAfee antivirus protection and anti spyware protection around your network, ensuring that no user can access the internet without the latest McAfee protection updates installed.

Once your users are set up they can run a virus scan and a spyware scan and remove any infections found. McAfee will then manage itself to ensure the near daily updates are installed for you without you knowing and maintain your level of protection in the future.

VPN tunnels (virtual private network)

Enable your staff to work from remote locations in a safe and secure way. VPN tunnels are used to provide a remote, secure connection to your office. This technology gives the user an experience which is identical to being in the office on the central network so all the functionality they are familiar with is accessible. This can be achieved using a standard Broadband connection so your team really can work from home or a remote connection with minimal cost and disruption.

Server security

Placing your Windows small business server behind a firewall is an effective first step to securing your business network. Further work can also be done to improve the server and whole network security in the way it is configured with intelligent use of passwords, IP addresses and access policies.

Local data backup

As the amount of data held on business networks continues to increase at an exponential rate we find direct backup to hard drive to be the most effective method of keeping your data safe. Hard drives are relatively cheap and are fast so adding hard drives to your server gives you a reliable, cost effective backup solution.

If your business uses large amounts of changing data then we employ RAID array technology where data is stored in a fault tolerant fashion as you go and this can also be augmented into regular off server backups.

Online data backup

For critical data backup we can offer an online data backup service using a multi-site, data encrypted solution protecting your data from even the most extreme situations. The solution we use copies your data in the back-ground when your system is idle and works to maintain an accurate snapshot of your data. this even works with Microsoft Exchange as well as Small Business Server products.
