If it looks like you've got a software fault with your PC or laptop but you're just not sure then drop it in to our workshop and we can have a look at it.
We comonly fix faults like;
We understand that the really important thing about your computer is the information held on it. We can help in several ways to make sure your data is recovered and safe.
If you are in the not un-common situation where your system has failed and it looks like your data has gone, don't dispair call us now. We succeed in recovering data in most cases.

Hard drives fail in different ways and not always in a catastrophic way. We have some cost effective techniques which will repair faulty drives where their electronics have failed. In such cases the drive will usually work as it had before and your data, programs and Windows are un-effected.
In some cases the disk surfaces have suffered a defect in specific areas of the storage area which prevent access to the rest of your data. We are often able to get access to your data and recover it to another drive.
If you would like to know more about hard disk failures have a look at our features page which details Google's own experience of hard drive failures in their own massive data centres, here's the link industry_hard_drive_reliability_study
It's not un-common for Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 to get in to a state where it just will not load up. Often the screen will display the normal loading process until just before your desktop loads and then, the screen goes blank, the laptop or PC re-boots to repeat the same process over again.
We can repair this type of Windows corruption usually without effecting your data and your system can be restored to a fully working state.
In some circumstances the problem is so deeply rooted in Windows that the quickest solution is a fresh installation of windows and copy your data to the new Windows build. In these situations any programs you have installed will be lost along the way and they would need to be re-installed from the original disks. Your data, that's documents, photos, music and the like will be copied accross as they were.
We have a nice quick and easy solution for you, we'll remove your old hard drive then mount it in an external USB drive caddy. When you plug this in to another system you will be able to see your data as it was on your old system.
We have proven techniques which will get your data recovered, even from a dead laptop or PC and transfered on to your new laptop or PC. Your data, that's documents, photos, music and the like will be copied accross as they were. Don't forget that any programs you had on your old laptop or PC will not be on your new system until you run the relevant installation program.
With any laptop or PC repair, we perform our diagnostics work on a copy of your hard drive so we always have your original to refer back to. If your system needs to be wiped clean we don't just wipe it and appologise for losing all your data. If this is ever an issue, we contact you and let you know what can be done to keep your data safe.
Ask us for a quote to supply the hardware you have chosen and we can include a quote to transfer your data from your old system to the new one, even if your old system is faulty. Contact us for more information.
As well as solving your immediate problem we can also provide preventative desktop PC maintenance to avoid down time in the future;

We don't mind what badge is on the front of your hardware equipment. Obviously we are very experienced onwith the market leaders but are just as comfortable fixing clone machines as well.

| Windows 7 | Microsoft Server SBS 2008 R2 | Microsoft Server SBS 2011 |

Everyone was waiting for Windows 7 to be released so Vista could be left behind. Windows 7 does seem to be a much more stable system and has reasonable support for your older equipment. The XP mode and XP virtual machine options seems to work very well giving better compatability with old programs too.

Server 2008 really introduced the option of remote working to companies in an affordable and reliable way. If you wanted to facilitate home or remote working for your staff this was a great solution and is still used today as a stable server platform to support remote desktop connection. Server SBS 2008 R2 is supplied as a bundled product which combines Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Exchange 2007. For further information have a look at the Windows Server 2008 R2 product page

This is the latest upgraded version of SBS which also includes Exchange Server 2010 SP1 and will run up to 75 users on the standard version. Here's a PDF for more information and what's new in this version What's New in Windows Small Business Server 2011.
Vista had gained a poor reputation over the few years it was available, business users didn't really take to it and home users find it sometimes hard to get a reliable experience.
Windows XP has been proven to be a much more reliable operating system following it's early teething problems. It now provides reliability along with some great functionality. We are fully conversant with Windows XP and it's features so we can support you with any problems you may face.
Windows 2000 has been around for so long and it just keeps running. It does struggle at times working with more modern programs but it if your environment
is mainly internal use then it is usually a reliable solution. If you want to upgrade to Windows XP we would be able to help migrateyour data across and get everything working for you again with minimal disruption and fuss.
I know, we're starting to show our age now but Windows 98 is still being used by some customers, usually because of a business specific program that won't work on anything else. We still support it and can still solve problems relating to it and it's usually old hardware.
For our customers with maintenance agreements we include unlimited support for the Microsoft Office suite including, Office standard, Office Small Business and Office Professional. Customers not on cover we can provide this support on an Ad Hoc basis as long as you have an established account with us.
As you can tell by the name 2003 has been tried and tested for quite a while now. It does have a few shortfalls when it comes to modern server technologies and upgrading to either SBS 2008 R2 or the very latest SBS 2011 is recommended by Microsoft. SBS 2003 included great functions such as secure and reliable network capabilities, file and print sharing, remote access, mobile device support, backup facilities, and much more. For some versions of SBS 2003 Microsoft are removing technical support leaving 2003 installations in an exposed position should the server suffer a critical failure. For this reason most users have or plan shortly, to upgrade to a later SBS version as per the above later version.
